Getting rid of chrome

I'm not a fan of chrome, but my Genesis GV70 didn't have a trim level without one, so I had to pick one. I got the standard model with the shiny chrome and I want to get rid of it. What options do I have and most importantly, will any of those mess with the warranty?

Removing the chrome details on your car shouldn't mess with the warranty as long as you're not cutting into electrical systems or body panels. The most common and popular choice is to wrap it. A professional can use vinyl wrap to cover all the chrome trim pieces, and you can pick any color, like gloss black, matte black, or even a body-color match. It's a great option because it's completely reversible, which is a big plus for resale value down the road. Another option is to paint over it. That's more permanent but can look a lot cleaner if done right. A third option is to replace the trim pieces entirely with aftermarket parts, but this is usually the most expensive and time-intensive route. Personally, I'd go with a good quality vinyl wrap!
